EMDR
EMDR is an evidence-based modality used to treat PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and can also be used to address symptoms of anxiety, as well as distressing memories and negative belief systems. EMDR expedites the mind's natural healing ability resulting in resolution and freedom from the distress of past events. As distress is dissolved, new pathways and perspectives are formed and energized, lighting the way to a brighter future.
Brainspotting
Brainspotting can access deeply rooted sources of anxiety and stress and then facilitate a processing of these disturbances to a point of resolution. As Brainspotting is a therapy that acknowledges and facilitates the mind and body connection, many find Brainspotting enables a unique experience of depth and completion.
Positive Psychology
Traditional Psychotherapy involves an emphasis on symptoms and distress. Positive Psychology enhances what's joyful, what's working, and what's possible. Emphasis is on cultivating the experiences and qualities that create happiness. The intended result is a life that feels deeply meaningful, purposeful, joyful, and filled with experiences that reflect these qualities.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
CBT (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy) is an evidence-based modality that explores the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and actions. As automatic thoughts are observed and noted, the underlying assumptions we carry begin to surface, and the fundamental thoughts and beliefs we have formed about ourselves, others, and the world are explored, challenged, considered, and enhanced. As cognitions change towards positive self-concept, feelings can change, and positively impact the actions we take.
Solution-Focused Therapy
Solution Focused Therapy emphasizes strengths and explores what specific actions a person is taking or might take that can facilitate a positive outcome.
As positive strategies are clarified and enhanced, there is the potential for presenting problems to loosen their grip and fade further into the background.
Marriage and Family Therapy
Family therapy explores the family as a system as well as the impact of family relationships to individual wellbeing. Frequent goals are to increase positive communication and to strengthen the family system.
Marriage and couples therapy helps couples establish and clarify their wants and needs in the context of relationship, provides positive communication and relationship skills, and helps couples to become more conscious and mindful.
Psychodynamic
Explores the relationship between the past to the present and uncovers past experiences that may currently impact worldview, personality, and relationships. Insight develops and facilitates growth and change. Therapy provides the safety and connection by which healing, growth, and learning may occur.
Hypnotherapy
Hypnosis is a powerful therapeutic tool that encourages deep relaxation. As relaxation occurs the mind becomes more receptive to positive suggestion and ideas. Once these positive suggestions are absorbed and integrated, patterns can change, and new action occurs, helping you to more fully line up with your goals and aspirations.
Mindfulness
Incorporates principles of meditation as well as stress-management techniques to help calm the busyness of the mind and enhance a connection to the inner peace residing within each of us.
Depth Psychology
Depth Psychology may incorporate dreams, images, art, poetry, music, literature, writing, and the imagination as a way to garner insight and create change that is inspired by connecting to one's inner wisdom.
Life Coaching
Life Coaching emphasizes forward moving thinking, practical strategies, and goal-setting. Accountability is a key component to implementing specific and measurable action steps.
